Repair work at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent

Knights from Roy Champeau Council 8077 are doing lots of maintenance and repair work at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent. 

Here is a slide show presentation from January 5th, 2014.

On January 18th, they were again at work, this time making much needed roof repairs.

Sunday, February 2, 2014 - Lunar New Year Celebration Mass  -  10:00am - Pastor Dominic Phuc of Our Lady of Lavang Parish requests the Honor Guard for the Lunar New Year celebration Mass.  Assemble at 9:30am.  Bishop Kicanas will be the celebrant, concelebrating with Pastor Phuc and local priests.  Our Lady of Lavang Church, 800 S. Tucson Blvd., (two blocks south of Council 1200).  A reception follows the Mass and all brother knights and family are invited.  To support a membership drive and establishment of a new Council, strong participation of our Honor Guard will reinforce recruitment efforts, in addition to enjoying the hospitality of our Vietnamese brothers and sisters.  Thank you.

Roof Repairs at Immaculate Heart Convent

Knights from the Tucson Chapter and Council 8077 went to work on the roof of the convent at Immaculate Heart last Saturday. They applied a new roof coating.

Orange Harvest

Calling all Knights! On Saturday January 25, 2014 we will gather to harvest the oranges for the Sisters at the Benedictine Monastery, 800 N Country Club, Tucson, AZ.

We will start at 8:00 AM and finish by noon when we will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.

Bring the whole family (keep the under 12 kids off of any ladders). Bring gloves and ladders. The extended weather forecast looks great with cloudy but warm weather predicted.

Tucson March For Life

The annual diocese March for Life will take place on Saturday Jan 18th. We begin with Mass at 9 AM at St. Augustine Cathedral 192 S. Stone Ave. The march to Holy Hope Cemetery takes place from 10:00 AM to 12 Noon. All are invited to join the march. Knights should wear their K of C hats, shirts or jackets.  Color Corps members should wear full regalia. An Honor Guard callout has been issued for the Mass and march.

The march is about 4 miles. Those unable to march are encouraged to meet us at Holy Hope where we will have the solemn Rose ceremony.

Jan. 20, 10:00am, 2014 - Visitation, Rosary, Chalice Ceremony, & Funeral Mass & Burial - The family of Sir Knight Robert Lively,  PGK, PFN, requests the Honor Guard for his visitation, Mass, and burial.  - Jan. 19, Viewing 5:00pm, assemble at 4:30pm, Bring Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway Blvd., Rosary at 7:00pm, Chalice Ceremony following the Rosary.  Jan. 20, Mass 10:00am, assemble at 9:30am, Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 1800 S. Kolb Road.  Burial at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery, 2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes.  There will be a military salute at the grave site.  The family will host a reception after services at Our Mother of Sorrows.  If you are unable to attend, please remember SK Bob & his family in your prayers.  Thank You.
