Prayer Request - GK Henry Werner

Brothers,

GK Henry Werner of Our Lady In The Desert Council 15704 hurt his back at work a week or so ago and slipped a disk.  The slipped disk is firing up nerves in his left leg.  As long as he lies down he's OK but if he tries to walk, the nerve hurts so much and if he's not careful he may lose balance and fall because of pain. He hopes that a doctor can fix the problem with traction and steroids otherwise a small incision to relocate disk might have to happen but hopefully that will not be the case.  He is still waiting for an appointment to see a back surgeon.

Please keep Brother Henry in your prayers.

Prayer Request - SK Tom Terlisner

Brothers,

One of our own, Brother Tom Terlisner will undergo surgery for cancer on August 2 2013.  Please keep him and his wife in your prayers for the next few weeks.  I will keep you posted on his progress.

9th Annual Night at the Ballpark

The Arizona Diamondbacks and the Knights of Columbus invite you to bring family and friends to the 9th annual Knights of Columbus night on Saturday August 31 as the the D-backs take on the Giants. 

Two games for the price of one! Stay for the 2nd annual D-backs alumni game following the 5:10 PM game. Wear your "throwback" colors in support of D-backs alumni night.

For every ticket purchased through this offer, the D-backs will donate $2 to your local council and $2 to the Arizona Knights of Columbus. In 2012, over 500 tickets were purchased with over $2,000 donated. In addition, $2 from every ticket will be donated to Special Olympics.

Our goal this year is to sell 1,000 tickets. If we do, the D-backs will donate a total of $7,000.

The election of officers for the Chief Judge John M. Roll Chapter took place at the regular meeting on Monday evening July 8. The officers for the Fraternal Year 2013-2014 are:

First Degrees Resume at Council 5133

Beginning August 13, Regina Cleri Council 5133 will resume holding First Degrees on the second Tuesday of each month. Please check the Degree schedule on the Degrees page for current updates.

As the new fraternal year begins, we need to update our chapter delegates. Please use the form on the "Forms" page to do this. There is a PDF version and a MS Word version. You can fill out the MS Word version and attach it to an email to secretary@tucsonknights.com. Either form can also be printed, filled in and returned to us at a chapter meeting or scan it and email it as above.
