Prayers Requested

Please pray for the Firefighters, the Granite Mountain Hotshots, who died today in the Yarnell Arizona wildfire. Our son, Jason was right behind those who died and his crew was trying desperately to get to them. Also pray for the families who must try and make sense of this great sacrifice their loved ones have made. We also ask for your prayers for the one survivor who is now at Maricopa Burn Center but we don't know his condition. Our son is ok right now, praise God; but my heart breaks for the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and other families members of these heroes. The Granite Mountain Hotshots had successfully saved multiple homes in Prescott during the Doce fire a week ago. God rest their sweet souls.

Prayerfully Popped Popcorn Opportunities

The Sisters of the Benedictine Monastery make gourmet popcorn which they sell on line and at their store in Trader Joe's shopping center at Speedway & Wilmot.

They are looking for opportunities to sell more popcorn such as at parish events, festivals, youth groups and others. If you have an event coming up, contact the sisters or Tom LeCocq 520-358-2084.

We are also looking for Knights to volunteer to work a few hours at their store. Please let the Sisters know if you can help.

Please visit their web site at PrayerfullyPopped.com.

Request for Prayers

Brothers,

I do not have many of the details yet, nevertheless I have been told that our beloved Sister Loreto, of SS Simon and Jude, went to rest with Our Lord this morning.  Sister loved the Knights of Columbus.  She has also been for many years the heart and soul of the SS Simon and Jude's Religious Education Program.  Please remember Sister in your prayers.

Vivat Jesus!

Request for Prayers - Rick Garrison

Brothers,

Respectfully requesting that you keep our Executive Secretary, Rick Garrison, in your prayers.  He has had a family emergency arise and will be heading back East for an undetermined period of time. Most of the business that Rick handles is done via email.  What postal service mail shows up will be sent to his location back East.  We may see just a slight delay, but nothing that we can't handle.

Please keep our Brother and his family in your prayers.

Respectfully,

Bryant R. Sayers
Arizona State Deputy

Prayer Request

Please keep Fr. Bartolome Vasquez and his family in your prayers. My
office was notified yesterday that his mother Rosa Johnston is
seriously ill and they expect that it will not be long before  she
passes.  Fr. Bartolome is the pastor at St. Joseph in Wellton and
had gone to Mexico to visit his mom. I know that your prayers will
be very much appreciated.

May His Spirit comfort and surround them during this heartbreaking
time and bring them closer to Him as they wait.

Peace,
Kathy
